Objectified Assignment

 The object I decided to recreate from Objectified (2009), was a simplistic cd player by Naoto Fukasawa. I've never done any 3d modelling before and before choosing the cd player I attempted to do a flask with an intricate carving on the front, obviously that one didn't work out too well for me. I went with this design for the cd player as lately I have seen lots of people buying this and felt that it fit the narrative being told in the documentary about how objects are designed to function better with less parts. Also how minimalistic designs come back in style, sell well and are easy to make for mass production. My model isn't perfect, and I struggled with properly centering everything, but for my first finished project I'm pretty satisfied.
